I am a Visiting Assistant Professor at The Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. I earned my doctorate from Texas A&M University, Department of Political Science. My major field is Public Administration and Public Policy. My minor field is Race & Ethnic Politics. I focus my research efforts in the context of K-12 public education. In my administration research I address systemic barriers in public education by analyzing administrator characteristics and their behaviors . In my policy research I explore the influence of both state and organizational policies on various minority student achievement indicators.
I have worked as the co-data manager, recruitment coordinator, and office manager for the Project for Equity, Representation, and Governance (PERG) at Texas A&M. I oversee the organization of weekly research meetings, coordinate the visits of multiple guests and scholars, and assist in the planning of research conferences.

In my campus community, I served as the Vice-President for the Black Graduate Student Association. As a scholar who is invested in the futures of underserved, minority communities, I will continue to champion research agendas that serve the interests of minority groups.
